According to a report from Nick Daschel at The Oregonian, Oregon State’s football team has picked up a transfer with a controversial history. Marco Brewer was a standout guard and 3 star recruit when he played for Corvallis High School. He originally committed to play for UCLA back in 2017, but that summer he was arrested and charged with first degree rape and first degree sexual assault.
After a long court process, Brewer eventually entered an Alford Plea, which allowed him to maintain his innocence while not contesting the charges. Those charges were reduced to felony coercion, and Brewer was sentenced to probation and community service.
