Stanford fell on rough days in 2019, as David Shaw’s squad crawled out to a 1-3 start and ended up finishing the campaign on a four-game losing skid, marking the first time since 2008 that the Cardinal didn’t go bowling. Heading into 2020, Stanford will try to pick up the pieces and find brighter days ahead in Palo Alto, anchored by a rebuilt offense and a serviceable defense.
Stanford has three returning stand-outs on the offensive line between tackle Walker Little, a top NFL prospect who missed almost all of last season due to injury, bookend piece Foster Sarell and 2019 second-team All-Pac-12 selection Drew Dalman at center.
