Oregon State Drops Contest in Tucson

TUCSON. Ariz. – Darell Garretson threw for three touchdowns but the Beavers dropped a 49-28 contest on Saturday night at Arizona Stadium.

A driving Wildcats team was stopped in its tracks when Shawn Wilson grabbed his first career interception in the first quarter at the Oregon State two-yard line.

Trailing 28-0 at the half, Oregon State opened the third quarter with consecutive scoring drives. Garretson connected with Noah Togiai on a 15-yard strike to open the third quarter scoring, cutting the lead to 28-7.
