BEND -- It's surprisingly projected to be "cooler" in Central Oregon than in Corvallis when a heat wave hits the state later this week. Still, Oregon State football has already taken precautions by pushing back its open scrimmage scheduled for Friday at Summit High School.
The Fan Fest event originally scheduled for 4:30 p.m. will instead begin with an autograph session inside the gym at 6:30 p.m., followed by an approximately 90-minute scrimmage beginning at 7:30 p.m.
"That should be better for the fans with the heat and better for the kids in the heat," Andersen said following Monday's practice.
