On Thursday evening on 1080 The Fan, Crescent Valley's Talanoa Hufanga, a five-star prospect and the nation's No. 1 athlete, cut his list from 10 to six.
Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, UCLA, USC and Utah made the cut.
Oregon State, the hometown school, didn't.
In the historically deep Oregon high school football 2018 recruiting class, consisting of an unprecedented seven Rivals four-star recruits, Hufanga's cut snipped the final thread linking the Beavers to any of the top 10 in-state prospects.
And while flipping one's decision and college football recruiting are as linked and peanut butter and jelly, Oregon State's on-field performance doesn't inspire much hope for newfound enthusiasm.
