CORVALLIS — Basketball game? More like street fight.
That's what Oregon State coach Scott Rueck is expecting from Monday night's matchup between his ninth-ranked Beavers and No. 8 Arizona State.
It's a fitting descriptor, given both teams thrive on frustrating opponents with their stingy defense. And it also captures the stakes, as Monday's winner will sit atop the Pac-12 standings and capture the head-to-head tiebreaker in the first women's basketball matchup between top-10 teams in Gill Coliseum history.
"You just know it's gonna be a 40-minute fight, basically, and you have to get ready for it and be tough," Rueck said.
