Nick Mitchell's practice repetitions at backup quarterback were reflected in this week's depth chart, which Oregon State released Tuesday.
Mitchell had been the third-string quarterback since training camp, when fellow redshirt freshman Marcus McMaryion supplanted him as a contender for the starting job.
Seth Collins and McMaryion both played in the Beavers opening game against Weber State and Collins went on to win the starting job. McMaryion made appearances in the second half of a 35-7 loss at Michigan and a 44-7 loss at Arizona. The latter came when Collins briefly went out with an injury.
