CORVALLIS - Oregon State's bid for a second comeback win in as many weeks came up short Saturday at Reser Stadium, as USC ran for 332 yards in a 38-21 win at Reser Stadium.
USC sprinted to a 21-0 lead midway through the second quarter, when Oregon State began to get involved. Quarterback Jake Luton led the Beavers on two scoring drives before halftime to cut the margin to 21-14, then another midway through the third to keep the deficit at one touchdown.
USC repelled two opportunities for Oregon State to pull even. The Trojans then gave themselves a comfortable margin when Aca'Cedric Ware ran 62 yards for a touchdown with 11:53 left in the game.
