CORVALLIS — Frustration and disappointment are common emotions that stem from any defeat.
Monday night, though, was an experience Oregon State had not encountered in nearly two years, as a 71-51 loss at No. 15 UCLA was the 11th-ranked Beavers' most lopsided defeat since USC topped them 81-60 in January of 2014.
Yet the Pac-12 schedule offers little time to dwell. During a short week to prepare for a pair of Civil War contests, the Beavers are balancing learning from the rare blowout loss and moving forward.
"Obviously, it hurt, and you wish that it didn't have to happen," center Ruth Hamblin said.
