The grind of a college basketball season can do some odd things to a team and when a player gets himself going, it’s usually best just to hop on board the train and not ask questions why.
So, that’s exactly what Wayne Tinkle and company did on Thursday night, as forward Roman Silva was the deciding factor in Oregon State’s narrow win on the road at California, 59-57.
Silva, who has now started in more than half the Beavers contests this season, tallied a career-high 15 points on a 6-8 shooting display from the field, powering a Beavers comeback that saw them trailing 33-28 at the halftime break.
