A trendy pick to the win the Ivy League this season, Penn entered the 2018 U.S. Virgin Islands Paradise Jam (much like Oregon State) as a darkhorse contender to make the tournament final. However, (as expected) they ran into the favorites in Kansas State on Sunday and simply couldn’t hold on against the Big 12 powerhouse squad.
The Quakers will now play the Beavers on Monday for a chance to head back to the mainland on a high-note. Kansas State and Missouri, the squad that knocked off Oregon State, will meet later on Monday night with the tournament title on the line.
