A back and forth affair ended in Oregon State’s favor on Saturday night, as the Beavers one-upped Washington State, 68-66.
Oregon State came out of the gate playing sloppy in the first twenty minutes, turning the ball over 12 times before the break. However, a more concerted effort in the second half, including a late influx of strong play from guard Ethan Thompson turned out to be the difference maker for Wayne Tinkle’s group, who grabbed a second straight victory and moved to 10-7 overall (6-5 in Pac-12 play) and are now in 7th place in the league standings.
