Tuesdays have had the Beavers’ number in 2019...May 14th was different, however. Oregon State beat the University of Portland by a final score of 4-3. Both teams had four hits on the day, including two big ones in the seventh for OSU.
OSU managed to get on the board first with an RBI single from Tyler Malone in the bottom of the first inning. In the top of the third, Portland would take the lead on a three run homer from left fielder Cody Hawken.
Beaver fans were getting nervous until the bottom of the seventh. The Beavs loaded the bases and George Mendazona cleared them with a three RBI double to take a 4-3 lead.
