Oregon State held a slim lead heading into the bottom of the ninth, but a big inning from the Arizona State bats propelled the Sun Devils to a 9-6 win. The loss drops Oregon State 31-16, and 13-9 in the conference.
The game started well for the Beavers, with Andy Armstrong scoring on a Joe Casey double in the top of the first giving them a 1-0 lead. After two quick groundouts in the bottom of the first it looked like starter Kevin Abel was in for a solid game, but two straight walks and a wild pitch put runners on second and third.
