On Friday night, Oregon State basketball alumni Devon Collier announced via Twitter that he is headed to play professional basketball in France next season, for Poitiers Basket 86, a team that competes in the French Pro B League.
The 6’ 8”, 215-pound forward who dominated the interior for the Beavers from 2010-2014, most recently played for Indios de Mayaguez in the Puerto Rican BSN over the summer, as he rehabbed a left knee injury that required reconstructive surgery. In the BSN, Collier averaged 13.4 points and 8.0 rebounds in 36 games of action and was named (the equivalent of) the league’s Comeback Player of the Year.
