Last Thursday, tragedy struck Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, when a 26-year-old student shot and killed nine of his classmates and injured nine others before taking his own life. This past Saturday, Oregon, Oregon State and Colorado all wore “UCC” ribbons on the back of their helmets to pay tribute to the victims.
This week, Oregon is going a step further. The Ducks have announced that anyone student or staff member at UCC will have the opportunity to attend the team’s next game (against Washington State) for free.
