The oldest college rivalry in the West is set to kick off on Saturday when the Oregon Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers kick off Saturday in Corvallis in the 120th Civil War.
Although there are no national implications this year, the stakes are high -- for different reasons -- for both teams. Ducks coach Mark Helfrich needs the win to cool his hot seat; a win for Beavers coach Gary Andersen would be a significant step in his rebuilding efforts in Corvallis.
