CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State wrestling team opened its season on Wednesday night inside Gill Coliseum for its annual Orange & Black Scrimmage. The Orange team, coached by assistant Ian Miller, edged out the Black Squad, coached by assistant Taylor Meeks, by a final score of 35-32 after a 17-bout marathon inside of Gill.
Rodney Williams won the first bout of the night over Colton Beisley in a 5-3 decision putting the Orange team up 3-0 early on in the night. Redshirt senior All-American Ronnie Bresser responded with a 16-8 major decision over Brandon Kaylor putting the Black squad on top temporarily, 4-3.
