SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Distance runners Nicole Goecke and Kristiane Width finished their seasons on Friday at the NCAA West Preliminary Championships at Sacramento State University.
Goecke qualified for the finals after running a 2:07.84 in the preliminary round on Thursday. She placed 24th in the quarters, failing to advance to the NCAA Championships on June 7-9. The Brush Prairie, Wash. native ran a 2:10.87 on Friday night.
In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Width took an 11th place finish in her heat crossing the finish line in 10:24.
