BERKELEY, Calif. – In Sunday's pitcher's duel at Cal, the No. 23-ranked Oregon State softball team earned the series sweep over the Golden Bears with a 1-0 victory. Freshman tossed a complete game of five-hit ball and struck out six.
The Beavers (29-8, 5-4 Pac-12) shutout the Golden Bears (21-15, 3-6 Pac-12) and have now allowed just two runs in seven games, outscoring their opponents 29-2. The series sweep over Cal is the first of the season for OSU and its second series win. and continued their hitting streaks, picking up the lone hits of the day for the Orange & Black.
