The Oregon State Beavers are back in the NCAA softball tournament, opening play Friday against the USC Upstate Spartans in the Auburn Regional of the 64-team tournament.

Oregon State got on the board first in the bottom of the third inning as Natalie Hampton drove in McKenna Arriola on a sacrifice fly. Upstate loaded the bases in the top of the fourth inning, but OSU pitcher Meehra Nelson got Brittany Case to ground out to get out of the jam.
In the bottom of the fourth, Oregon State loaded the bases with one out before Upstate pitcher Lexi Shubert got a foul out and a ground out to avoid further damage.
