Offensively, it won’t be one of Gary Payton II’s games to remember.
While the Milwaukee Bucks guard did chip in 11 points in the team’s 69-65 loss to the Sacramento Kings, Payton II’s 5-13 performance from the field won’t be one for the record books. However, what should be noted from his Summer League outing on Wednesday was his strong defensive prowess, which came through to the tune of five steals for the second-time in three games of action for the Bucks this summer.
If nothing else, Payton II is proving that at the defensive end of the floor, the former two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year hasn’t lost his touch just yet.
