CORVALLIS - As interim coach Cory Hall has pledged to make Oregon State football more fun, Ryan Nall in the Wildcat has emerged as an offensive weapon of choice.
The Beavers' quarterback depth thinned after starter Jake Luton was injured on Sept. 16 and the offense shifted more toward the run to better suit his replacement Darell Garretson. With limited options behind Garretson, getting the ball to Nall through direct snaps has become a valuable option.
"(Coordinator Kevin) McGiven and the rest of the offensive staff started to trust me back there and get comfortable with it," Nall said.
