Andrew Moore is winning collegiate awards even after he’s made two appearances for the Everett AquaSox, Single-A affiliate for the Seattle Mariners.
Moore, who was selected in the second round by the Mariners in the MLB Draft earlier this month, was named a third-team All-American by Perfect Game USA. That gives him five All-American honors this year.
The junior racked up a 7-2 record and 1.91 earned run average. He struck out 111 in 122 1/3 innings en route to being named a Pac-12 Conference first-team selection for the second time. He was also recognized academically as an All-District 8 pick after majoring in digital communications.
