CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State head coach Wayne Tinkle had a message to his team before the first official practice on Monday.
"This is day one of the journey. I want you guys to realize that this thing is a marathon. So let's stay patient with each other."
With that the 2016-17 season was officially underway. Only one player – senior center Cheikh N'diaye – has been in the program more than a year, so Tinkle spent the majority of the two-and-a-half-hour practice working on fundamentals and defensive drills.
