The OSU track team held its final home meet of the year on Friday.
The meet was only the second home meet of the season for Oregon State. The Beavers, who are still in the process of building their track program after it was discontinued in 1988, took a big step toward establishing their program Friday, by way of some memorable performances.
The charge was led by Freshman Kerissa D’Arpino, who placed second in the 100 and 200 meters with top-three all-time performances, freshman Sam McKinnon set a school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and sophomore Melissa Ausman won the discus to lead the Beavers.
