OREGON CITY – Lindsay McShane got the outdoor season started off right for the Oregon State track and field team on the opening day of the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open on Friday.
"We had a pretty good opener in the hammer today," began associate head coach David Dumble. "The ladies definitely showed improvement over last year; in fact, they all opened up further than they did last year at this time."
McShane had her record-setting throw of 191-feet, 5.5-inches on her second attempt in the only event for the day for Oregon State capturing the individual title.
