LOS ANGELES – Oregon State’s No. 16 gymnastics team posted its second-highest score of the season Saturday night in a loss at No. 7 UCLA 197.475-196.225.
Junior Kaytianna McMillan led the Beavers with season-highs on all three of her events including securing the individual title on the uneven bars with a personal-best 9.925.
“We have to fight for every tenth (of a point) we can get,” head coach Tanya Chaplin said. “I’m really proud of how we performed tonight. Our warm-up was a bit shaky, but we took a deep breath and reminded each other to trust, believe and fight all the way through the competition.
