SAN FRANCISCO - Playing one of the best series of her career, Oregon State softball's Mariah Mazon was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week, as announced Tuesday afternoon.
"I'm so proud of Mariah," said head coach Laura Berg. "She has so much grit and competed her heart out against the Ducks."
Mazon had an excellent weekend, both in the circle and at the plate. In the batter's box, she totaled eight hits in 14 at bats for a .571 batting average, leading the team over the weekend.
The Beavers' hitting started slow on Thursday, but Mazon started right away hitting for two of the team's total three hits in game one.
