Marcus McMaryion Tabbed for Wuerffel Trophy Consideration

Oregon State junior quarterback Marcus McMaryion has been selected to the Weurffel Trophy Watch List, it was announced Tuesday. The award is presented annually by the All Sports Association of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., to the college football student-athlete who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.

McMaryion boasts a 3.56 cumulative GPA in Public Health and has been a member of OSU's Honor Roll multiple times. He earned Pac-12 Conference Academic honors the last two seasons and is the member of the OSU Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

He is among the team leaders for community service which includes service to the Children's Cancer Association Hope for the Holidays Initiative, Jefferson Elementary, Special Olympics, Doernbecher Children's Hospital, OSU Women's Clinic, Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis, Oregon Veteran's Home, Boys & Girls Club Holiday Tree Initiative, Oaks Senior Center, and Boy Scouts of Oregon.
