Oregon State's Manase Hungalu is on the watch list for the Butkus Award given annually to the nation's best linebacker.
Hungalu had a breakout 2016 season, ranking second on the Beavers with 83 tackles while adding three fumble recoveries, one interception, four pass breakups and three quarterback hurries. He is a team captain for the 2017 season and will represent the program at Pac-12 Media Days next week.
Hungalu is one of 10 Pac-12 players on the list, joining Arizona State's Koron Crump, California's Devante Downs, Stanford's Peter Kalambayi, UCLA's Kenny Young, USC's Porter Gustin, Uchenna Nwosu and Cameron Smith and Washington's Keishawn Bierra and Azeem Victor.
