CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State junior infielder Nick Madrigal and sophomore left-handed pitcher Jake Mulholland have been recognized by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) All-Americans, as announced on Monday.
Madrigal has been selected as the first-team second baseman while Mulholland is a reliever on the second team.
Madrigal, a native of Elk Grove, is coming off a season where he batted .380 with 22 doubles, four home runs, 40 runs batted in and 16 stolen bases. He finished the 2017 season as a unanimous All-American, was named the Pac-12 Conference's Player and Defensive Player of the Year and also earned the program's first-ever collegiate Golden Glove Award.
