Dane Lund is no stranger to playing the waiting game. It has taken five years, three different schools, a year of life without baseball and an injured back to finally play for the program he grew up wanting to play for.
Coming out of Astoria High School, Lund received little attention from OSU, which already had catchers such as Parker Berberet and Andrew Susac — who is coming off of winning the World Series with the San Francisco Giants — already on the roster. Adding another catcher was not a priority for the Beavers.
Lund then went and became an all-league player at Mt.
