The class of 2017 has become the prime focus for college football recruiters since signing day, but The Oregonian's Andrew Nemec and Eforce Football's Jordan Johnson decided to take an early crack at ranking Oregon high school football's 2018 class.
Highlighted by Lake Oswego left tackle Dawson Jaramillo, South Medford wide receiver Chase Cota, Tigard cornerback Braden Lenzy, Crescent Valley athlete Talanoa Hufanga and Central Catholic linebacker duo Malakai Salu and Eli'Jah Winston, the 2018 nucleus provided plenty of material for a lively debate.
Leading the charge on the recruiting front thus far has been the Oregon State Beavers, who have offered Cota, Hufanga and Lenzy.
