CORVALLIS – The basketball publication Lindy’s College Sports has ranked Oregon State women’s basketball No. 7 for the 2015-16 season in its latest issue. Lindy’s also has senior Ruth Hamblin as a Second Team All-American and as the National Defensive Player of the Year.
Hamblin was named a Third Team All-American by the Associated Press last season and earned Pac-12 Player of the Year (Media), Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year (Media and Coaches), All-Pac-12 (Media and Coaches) and Pac-12 All-Academic First Team honors.
She was a force for the Beavers at both ends of the floor in 2014-15, scoring 12.
