Like father, like son: Wayne and Tres Tinkle share unique basketball skills a generation apart

CORVALLIS - One day after Oregon State cruised to a Civil War victory earlier this month, a video popped up in the Tinkle family group chat.

As the Beavers closed out the victory in Gill Coliseum with less than a minute to play, Tres Tinkle stood between the top of the key and midcourt and fired an alley-oop to Drew Eubanks. Wayne Tinkle, his father and head coach, had instead hoped the redshirt sophomore forward would milk more clock.

With the ball still flying, father and son simultaneously kicked their right legs and leaned to the left, attempting to mentally will the ball to Eubanks at the rim.
