LAS VEGAS – Arizona State presents an intriguing barrier between Oregon State and an NCAA Tournament bid.
On one hand, the Sun Devils are the 11-seed in the Pac-12 Tournament with eight available scholarship players that lost five of their last six games, including back-to-back losses to Arizona and Utah by a combined 73 points.
But the group, playing under first-year head coach Bobby Hurley, also has three wins over teams in the RPI top 50 – including Oregon State. The 86-68 win in Tempe on Jan. 28 qualifies as one of ASU's best wins of the season and one of the Beavers' worst performances.
