Corvallis, Ore. – The Oregon State women’s soccer team suffered its second heartbreaking setback of the weekend when it fell 2-1 to Washington State on Sunday in a Pacific-12 Conference game at Lorenz Field.
The Cougars (13-5-0, 6-4-0 Pac-12) scored twice in the second half to erase a 1-0 lead. They evened the game in the 52nd minute; Beau Bremer notched the winner at 85:34 on a rebound after OSU sophomore keeper Bella Geist made an outstanding save to deny her initial scoring opportunity.
Geist had six saves on Sunday and two in a 2-1, double-overtime loss to Washington on Friday afternoon to increase her season total to 211.
