Even at 7-foot-1, a high school basketball player of out Gervais High School can be overlooked.
In the class of 2017, Kylor Kelley was the PacWest Player of the Year, averaging 15.4 points, 11.4 rebounds and 7.6 blocks per game.
But no college called, and Kelley's grades weren't quite where they needed to be anyway.
Fast forward two years and the long, athletic big man is just a few credits away from completing his coursework at Lane Community College.
He also has committed to an awaiting scholarship offer from the Oregon State Beavers should he get it done by the end of the summer term, choosing the in-state Pac-12 program over growing interest from Pepperdine and Washington State:
I have officially committed to play basketball @BeaverMBB in the fall of 2017[?
