CARROLLTON, Texas – 2017 incoming freshman Kylee McLaughlin has been named the state of Texas Gatorade Player of the Year for the sport of volleyball.
McLaughlin, who was also named the Dallas Morning News' Player of the Year, is coming off a season in which she helped Hebron High School to a second consecutive 6A State Championship. The team finished with a 46-6 record and ended the season ranked 10 nationally according to USA Today.
A setter, McLaughlin led the Dallas area in assists with 1,618. She also tallied 419 digs, 97 kills and 42 service aces.
