Kyle Peko, Oregon State Beavers defensive lineman, becomes academically eligible for 2015 season

Kyle Peko is finally set to suit up for Oregon State this fall.

The Beavers defensive lineman, whose academic eligibility saga has dragged on for more than a year, has completed the necessary course requirements to play the 2015 season, a source close to the situation told The Oregonian/OregonLive Friday evening.

Peko, a nimble 6-foot-1, 306-pound nose guard, first arrived in Corvallis as a highly touted transfer from Cerritos Junior College last March but was not allowed to participate in spring practice. Then after officially joining the Beavers for fall camp, he was eventually ruled ineligible for the entire 2014 season.
