Long Beach, Calif. – Ella Knott placed sixth in the javelin and improved her No. 8 all-time mark on Friday to lead an abbreviated list of Oregon State competitors on the Day 1 of the Beach Invitational at Long Beach State.
The sophomore from Lincoln City threw 150-6 on her third attempt to better her former PR of 149-1, set earlier this spring at Willamette University. Redshirt junior Jordynn Slater placed eighth at 147-7.
Redshirt sophomore Savannah Reilly cleared 5-5.25 in the high jump and tied for first in flights 1-2.
