Gary Andersen tends to surround himself with prior coaching connections. And that has continued at Oregon State, as The Oregonian/OregonLive has learned that Utah State's Kevin Clune is expected to be officially named the Beavers' new defensive coordinator as early as Wednesday, while Weber State's Cory Hall is set to be hired as the school's new linebackers coach.
Clune replaces Kalani Sitake, who was hired as BYU's head coach last month. Hall replaces Ilaisa Tuiaki, whom Sitake hired to be the Cougars' defensive coordinator. The hires of Clune and Hall had been anticipated for a few days but were not finalized until after the New Year.
