CORVALLIS - Oregon State football coach Jonathan Smith said Friday he does not plan to name a starting quarterback before the start of fall camp.
"We're not going to put a timetable on deciding really any starting positions," Smith said. "We're going to compete. When we know, we'll know. But I don't see that coming any time soon."
Jake Luton, Conor Blount and Jack Colletto continue to get the majority of spring practice snaps, as Friday marked a more effective session for Luton and Blount. The Beavers continued their focus on situational work, utilizing much of their time in 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 work featuring two-minute drills, red zone and third down scenarios.
