After two seasons spent watching rival Central Catholic hoist the 6A state championship trophy, Jesuit running back Jason Talley set his mind to changing that this fall.
Behind the state's top offensive line, the 6-foot-2, 217-pound bruising senior back rumbled his way to a 6A-best 2,620 yards and 45 touchdowns to lead the Crusaders to a state championship.
But off-the-field, Talley's senior year has left him disappointed and slightly unfulfilled.
Despite putting up jaw-dropping numbers and starring for the state's best high school football team, it wasn't enough to earn a scholarship from an FBS program, one of the Jesuit star's dreams.
