True freshman, Jermar Jefferson, took over in the backfield for an injured Artavis Pierce against Southern Utah last Saturday and had a truly incredible performance. His rushing statistics were unlike anything Oregon State football has ever seen. And just to reiterate Jermar Jefferson is a TRUE FRESHMAN! His 238 yards on the ground were good for 3rd place all-time in the Oregon State football history books (one yard shy of the great Steven Jackson).

His rush yards total would have been extremely impressive by itself, but what’s even more impressive is his combination of rush yards and rushing touchdowns.
