There aren't many people who can say they've experienced a better sports day than the one 247Sports three-star guard Jarod Lucas had Wednesday.
On the first day of the early signing period, the 6-foot-2, 180-pound combo guard signed his National Letter of Intent with the Oregon State Beavers.
Billed as a high-scoring backcourt options, Lucas admitted part of his interest in Oregon State came from wanting to make UCLA and USC pay for not pursuing him in the recruiting process.
It didn't take long for him to make a statement.
In Wednesday's season-opening contest for Los Altos High School (Los Altos, California), Lucas broke the school's single-game scoring record, putting up 52 points with 11 rebounds.
