Early in his prep career, Lake Oswego two-sport athlete Jake Dukart was committed to Arizona State University as a baseball-only prospect.
But as he matured - both physically and mentally - the 6-foot-2, 180-pound high schooler developed into a Pac-12-caliber quarterback.
For much of high school, there was no choice to consider - he played both.
However, during the 2018 MLB amateur draft, Dukart was selected in the 37th round by the Boston Red Sox, and suddenly had to consider his future.
Would he focus on football at Oregon State, or play baseball for the Red Sox organization?
