HENDERSON, Nev. – Jackson Lake had one of the best rounds in Oregon State men's golf history Wednesday at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate, shooting a 7-under 65 to cap the three-day event.
Lake, who finished the event fourth with a 9-under 207, posted five birdies and an eagle in Wednesday's action. The 7-under par 65 tied for the fifth-best individual round in the program's history.
Lake is the first to finish at 7-under or better since Shawn Lu finished at 7-under 64 at the 2017 St. Mary's Invitational.
Additionally, Lake's 9-under for the tournament ties for the 17th-best overall performance by an OSU golfer
He earned his eagle at the par 5 sixth hole, and ended the trip with 16 birdies overall, ranking sixth in the 84-competitor field.
