Gary Andersen and Co. grabbed major headlines in the offseason for the changes to the offense and defense, but this team is extremely young both offensively and defensively. Look for the Beavers to beat Weber State and San Jose St. decisively, but outside of those two wins, no more will be guaranteed. Regardless of who starts at quarterback, it will be a freshman and typically, freshman quarterbacks not named Mariota have a tough first year. OSU figures to lean heavily on its experience within the running back and wide receiver positions. Defensively, they will lean on senior leaders Larry Scott and Jalen Grimble.
